PROCRASTINATORS UNITE

| Apr. 24th, 2006 03:32 pm Not Dead Yet My ISP has been misbehaving of late. Will update further tomorrow. They say they'll have it fixed by then.
THIS WEEK: working EVERY DAMN DAY except wednesday. my feet are gonna sue for separate maintenance come next Monday.
NEXT WEEK: Deposit fat paycheck, buy cellphone headset (miniboom mic, of course). Spend most of week soaking in bathtub to try and relax.
NEW DEVELOPMENTS: My system will now install older games again. So far, I've gotten two Novalogic titles, Freespace 2, and the Sims (plus three expansions) on. All are functional.
Done for now. *puts on two pairs of socks to lessen the pain of work*
See ya later, folks. Current Mood: BLARGBLARGBLARGHONK

| Apr. 14th, 2006 11:42 pm Damn it all Why is it that whenever I go through a springtime of late, that shit starts flying with the people around me?
Last year: I go up to my friend Wolf's wedding. The bride gets cold feet that morning. Also, my other friend, BJ, who lives in Wyoming and has no real experience with airports, had to go through Atlanta. This year: As per my previous entry: a friend from Wow came back; (my ScC Main's first lover), and then she became distraught that she couldn't play the characters as she originally had intended. So she went back to Hordeside with tears being shed (at least on my side of the screen). Another friend (also from WoW. There seems to be a pattern there.) is about a micron from college burnout. (hang in there, 'Drea!)
And this is just the beginning. Let's see if any other shit comes down the pipe... *grumble*
It's like someone up there doesn't like me. Current Mood: grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

| Apr. 7th, 2006 10:25 pm Dude. Seriously. Not pink. So I got fed up with my old DVD drive being broken (since my leg caught it) and bought a new one at Wal Mart (shut up). I decided to drop my Red Vs Blue DVD's into it and am now listening to the "director's commentary" which consists of the guys who make the thing yammering about it. In the meantime, I am currently alone in the house (if you don't count the dog) for the next few days.
On the WoW front: SHE'S BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!
I'm not gonna elaborate further, because I said I wouldn't. Current Location: naked in a beanbag chair eatin' cheetos (no I'm not..) Current Mood: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Current Music: none, really..

| Apr. 5th, 2006 07:55 pm Richard Pryor as a comedic genius WARNING: People who are easily offended, pass this one over.
Major leap for the guy, right?
Anyhoo. You are probably all familiar with the old joke "ending" of "rectum? damn near killed him!"
While listening to the Social Crime Syndicate (streaming online comedy), Richard Pryor's "Bicentennial Nigger" act came up, and it covers the aforementioned "joke"
"My brother went to vietnam, and he got shot in th' ass!" "Junior, don't say 'ass!' Say 'Rectum!'" "Rectum? shit, it killed him!"
Apparently, someone somewhere down the line screwed up Current Mood: amused

| Mar. 23rd, 2006 12:38 am Jesus Christ on a cracker, has it really been two months since I've updated this thing?
I guess so...
To the news.
I've defeated Halo 2 on Heroic. Next step: Legendary! from there, I make a grab for the Mythic Skull!
I'm slated to go to the "Advanced Crew Class" that starts next month. At the end of that should be a raise (I hope) and/or a promotion to Crew Trainer. Along with that promotion would come the necessity of wearing a handy asphyxiation device (Tie)
Money continues to be an issue for me (I feel comfortable saying that I'm poor here because it may tend to discourage potential identity thieves).
RvB continues to be greatly amusing. Somehow, Tucker (a guy) has become pregnant, and Caboose (a dumbass) is afraid that he might catch it.
my WoW character's Beaststalker pants continue to stay nonexistant. I should probably get in on more deadside runs before the patch is applied. Deadside 5mans hurt. But then, i'll need some Live 5mans pretty soon, anyway..
In closing. RWAR. Leave a comment

| Jan. 31st, 2006 12:35 am Halo + DOOM = Happy. Confused yet?
Backing up a bit: The first game I remember playing is Wolfenstein 3d back when I was wee. ((hehe. rhyme.)) Since that time, I've played Doom (all but Ressurection of Evil), Starcraft, Aliens Versus Predator (the FPS ones, not the arcade sidescroller), Warcraft 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein (Boy, that was a trip down memory lane..), Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, America's Army (hooyah), Unreal Tournament, Postal 2, Soldier of Fortune 2, Descent: Freespace (One of the BEST spaceflight sims, right up there with) Tachyon: The Fringe (BRUCE CAMPBELL > YOU), Delta Force Land Warrior (then the flagship of the series), Duke Nukem 3D (Hail to the King, baby.), Shadow Warrior (SLICEPEOPLEINTOTWOPIECESWITHASWORDYAY), Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight (Force Powers sucked in that game), Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, Halo, Halo 2, Splinter Cell 1 and 3, Ghost Recon, kill.switch (Great concept, good exectution, interesting story, GREAT animation. AI's a little dense though..), and, of course, World of Warcrack. I know I missed some in there.
Anyway, the reason for the title is thus: I had just reinstalled the Collector's Edition of DOOM (and was pleased to find out that it DID install under XP.), and decided to inaugurate it by playing what I believe to be the best video game music, not counting anything ever made for any game whose title begins with Final Fantasy.
Doom played to the Halo 2 soundtrack (minus a few tracks that have no real place among the work of Marty O'Donnell and Mike Salvatori. Blow Me Away and Connected were kept because they fit with the overall feel of the rest of the music). Ahh, bliss.. that is thy name...
*leans back, pretending to conduct the orchestra and choir* Current Mood: accomplished Current Music: Halo 2 Soundtrack

| Jan. 29th, 2006 05:25 pm DAMN IT, MOM My parents have taken to forcibly disconnecting me from the World At Large (not just WoW; our router is too much of a POS to do port control on a schedule) at Midnight, EST.
This measure is designed to keep me on "normal people's time" whatever the hell that means.
Needless to say, all it succeeds at doing is piss me off by dropping me in the middle of things such as Alterac Valley, and really involved RP sessions.
Also, on weekdays, my dad takes it upon himself to deprive me of my link to the Web with him to work. On days where I don't have class, this is a real pain in the ass, because what the hell am I supposed to do all day? Play with myself? Leave a comment
